YET ANOTHER ATTEMPT BY THE IRISH POLICE TO SILENCE KHALID KELLY!
Irish police yesterday arrested Khalid Kelly a former spokesman in Ireland for Al-Muhajiroun and student of Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad. The arrest and continued detention of Mr Kelly is for allegedly threatening to kill Barak Obama on his forthcoming visit to Ireland. However this arrest has a devious context which must be understood. It was not so long ago that Khalid Kelly was in fact brutally beaten up in his Dublin Home by the Irish police in what appears to be a continued vendetta against him in order to silence him. On Wednesday 21st July 2010 over 30 armed Irish Police were involved in a totally unprovoked and premeditated attack on Mr Kelly in his home during which his face and body was punched and kicked leading to him being left in a pool of blood with his nose broken and body severely bruised. The investigation of this criminal act has not yet been concluded. At the time he was told that he must not talk with the media propagating his ‘radical’ views otherwise he would suffer similar consequences.
The Muslim community at the time were quite rightly outraged and wondered where and when the next attack against him would occur and where this was all going to lead. This despite the fact that Mr Kelly has always propagated that he lives in Ireland under a covenant of security where the life and the wealth of the Irish is protected in return for his life and wealth being protected. Such a covenant does not now appear to be true in the case of Mr Kelly.
Khalid Kelly has been an open critic of the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, for which the Irish regime have allowed Shannon airport to be used as a fuelling post for American planes flying over for bombing raids against Muslim civilians. It seems that the Taoiseach could well be complicit in trying to silence such voices of opposition to its aiding and abetting the US crusade in Muslim countries.
In his own words Khalid describes the attack:
‘…its hard to remember how long it went on for I was kicked and punched all over my body and at one stage I curled up into a ball to protect my head and vital organs but the beating continued. Then I was placed on my stomach and my hands placed behind my back and I was handcuffed but even at that stage when I thought they would cease to beat me it still continued with kicks and punches. I began to recite the Qur’an and I was told to keep quiet and at that stage my head was smashed on the floor and blood started to pour from my nose and I think when they saw the pool of blood then they stopped punching me. I was stood up but with my head forced down and was dragged to the bedroom area and thrown to my knees but all the time there was continual shouting cursing using foul language as there had been from the beginning of the ordeal…’
After a long absence from Ireland, Khalid Kelly (an Irish revert to Islam) returned with a desire to settle in Ireland to call for and propagate Islam peacefully as a complete way of life and as an alternative to the corruption of the man-made democratic system. Upon his arrival he has been arbitrarily arrested many times without charge. The present arrest is hence just another attempt to intimidate and harass Khalid Kelly and to prove themselves as subordinate lackeys to the American government in proving their security credentials to them.
The Irish government must release Khalid Kelly immediately and should note their own history, during their own occupation by the British and should not follow in their footsteps in arresting peaceful activists albeit calling for Islam as a complete way of life. This act will only further stir up animosity for the Irish government from Muslims all around the world, who will view Ireland as just another state that is anti Islam and Muslims.
